No-Cook Dinners Plan

For hot kitchens, late returns, and stove-free nights.

No-Cook Dinners Plan

Dinner is supposed to be the meal you cook, which is exactly why this plan skips it. Everything here is built from ready-to-eat components: rotisserie chicken, canned salmon, pre-cooked shrimp, pre-cooked rice, mezze items, and bagged salad kits. The microwave only warms rice.

Assembly playbook (Sunday, about 45 minutes of stacking and portioning): pull two rotisserie chickens and divide into five containers; portion pre-cooked shrimp into two; set up a mezze bin with hummus, olives, feta, and pita; chop cucumbers and peppers; pre-cook rice pouches so rice is ready to warm.

Storage guide: rotisserie meat 3–4 days, so freeze days 6–7; pre-cooked shrimp 3 days; opened canned salmon 2 days; mezze components 5 days sealed; boards are always built the day they are eaten since they are open-plate meals.

Dinners run 440–520 calories and days land between 1,450 and 1,650 calories, so a no-cook evening still lands like a real dinner.

Portion guide

Portions are written for ~1,500-calorie days. Boards are easy to over-serve — measure cheese at 1 oz and deli meat at 3 oz, then fill the rest with vegetables.

Frequently asked questions

Are no-cook dinners actually satisfying?

They are when they are built like a plate: a protein, a starch, a vegetable, and a sauce. A rotisserie chicken plate with rice and vegetables or a mezze board with pita and feta eats like dinner, and both come together in under ten minutes.

How long do pre-cooked shrimp and rotisserie chicken last?

Pre-cooked shrimp holds 3 days in the fridge once thawed; rotisserie chicken 3–4 days. Portion anything you will not eat by Thursday into freezer bags on Sunday and thaw it overnight in the fridge.

What if I do not like cold food for dinner?

Warm only the components that improve with heat — rice, pita, and chicken — in the microwave or a toaster, and leave the vegetables and sauces cold. That 90 seconds of warm components is enough to make the plate feel cooked.
